What is the Inner Circle?

The term "Inner Circle" describes three different types of groups, listed here in order from smallest to largest, shortest lasting to longest enduring:

  1. Any group while they are playing Morton's List or otherwise experiencing Random Reality.

  2. A named group organized around playing Morton's List and/or experiencing Random Reality on a regular basis (usually referred to as a "Local Inner Circle")

  3. The group containing all people who have ever played Morton's List or otherwise been awakened by direct experience with Random Reality (usually referred to as the "Global Inner Circle")

Members of the Global Inner Circle are united by the desire to enjoy Random Reality, whether as a leisure activity or a tool for personal evolution, growth and fulfillment. In other respects they are an incredibly diverse group with wide ranging interests. Members' takes on and interests in Morton's List and Random Reality vary widely. Some focus on combating boredom in their lives through wildly unusual activities. Others who are "too busy to be bored" instead use Random Reality to help them see the bigger picture and not get caught up in running in endless circle of being busy all the time. Still others tap into the non-dual spirituality of Random Reality, using it like a compass to always point them towards enlightenment.

The Global Inner Circle is the broad foundation of the movement, or Random Reality Revolution, which brings the entertainment and profound benefits of this lifestyle and philosophy to people everywhere. Currently, there are an estimated 60,000 active members of the Global Inner Circle, worldwide, with the majority living in the U.S. and English speaking countries. Those aged 13 to 30 tend to be most receptive to the message, though Random Reality works for all ages, genders, races and cultural backgrounds.

Using Random Reality to purposely introduce chance into our lives, we stir the pot, unclog the arteries and remove the rust inhibiting us from realizing and reaching our full potential. The Global Inner Circle is waking up, one member at a time, to the limitless possibilities within. You are invited to join the Global Inner Circle, to participate in and become an indispensable member of this extraordinary movement.

Welcome to The Radius Newsletter

Greetings from the edge!

Welcome to The Radius newsletter, bringing you this month's Morton's List news and everything Random Reality.

Summer is in full swing. The garden gnomes are frolicking. And Summer Quest 2008 is going strong! Kicking off in April, with PenguiCon 6.0 and hitting full stride in June with the 1-2 punch of The Karmic Gathering: AlasKarma and Origins Game Fair, Summer Quest continues its five month quest across the continent. In July, Twilight Lord Nathaninja took Morton's List to four states and two Canadian provinces on a ten-day tour, exposing a host of excited people to Random Reality, including a professional escort and archaeologist, a transexual gourmet vegan chef and contortionist, and a traveling toxicologist.

As we move into August, this weekend Center Detroit will relocate key staff to southern Illinois to The Gathering of the Juggalos, where Camp Karma will put on a series of four spectacular Midnight Quests, offer up the entire Morton's List merchandise line, and once again set the bar for Random Reality festival events. Then without stopping, Summer Quest heads straight to Indianapolis for GenCon, the country's largest gaming convention. The GenCon that banned Morton's List, you ask? Yes, that GenCon! After six years on the black list and one where a bureaucratic error kept all Morton's List events out of the schedule and program, we're in and ready to rock the house!

So sip your summer shandies, pop your Rock Band cherries, get high, so high, discover poutine, eat the Sauce Boss's gumbo, suck on the weak American dollar, dance Bollywood vs. ballet in the rain, visit all 50 states, get your MSOG on, sleep in a prison, and make mine a double!

A fate is random,

The Karmic Order of Twilight Lords,

T.A.C.S.

Spotlighted news items are happening SOON. That means before the next issue of The Radius Newsletter. So if you're going to attend, contribute, volunteer or lend Center your Karma from afar, NOW is the time to make it happen. At this point choosing to put it off is the same as choosing to pass.

The Gathering of the Juggalos 2008

Head on Down to Cave-in-"Boulder"

Thursday, August 7th - Sunday, August 10th, Cave-in-Rock, Illinois

This year marks a major milestone in the story of Morton's List at The Gathering of the Juggalos. Camp Karma, which was test-run at the last Gathering, is returning in full effect! Besides being bigger and better in every way, the official Camp Master, Mutant XIII, is working with Empire of Nothing Inner Circle members, Cricket and OverBill, who also help run the Hatchet Rydas Car Club, to create a mega-camp of truly Karmic proportions. And new this year, all the classic and new Morton's List merchandise will be sold directly at Camp Karma (besides game box sets and books, which will be in the Merch Tent). If you're going this year make sure to hit up and hang out at Camp Karma for the daytime Quests, the merch, the High Rolla Inner Circle meetup and homecoming, the famous Midnight Quests and above all the great Listers putting it all on.

GenCon Indy 2008

17 Quests, 3 Days, 1 Ark of the Crowvenant

Thursday, August 14th - Saturday, August 16th, Indianapolis, Indiana

Last year, Morton's List returned to GenCon after being banned since 2001. This year, we're back and kicking it up several notches, running Quests all day every day Thursday through Saturday! If you've ever played Morton's List at a convention you know how different and fun it is compared to Listing with friends at home. Both are cool, but there's nothing like the excitement of playing with people you just met in the fun playscape of the convention setting! So come play with such high level Listers as Twilight Lord Nathaninja, Alexander The Loyal Henchman of the Twilight Lords and Goblin Grotto!

You have 'em? Big Cheddar wants 'em.

Host of The Karmic Gathering: AlasKarma, Big Cheddar of the Order of the N.E.W., is looking to gather as many pictures from the event that he and his Inner Circle hosted in Trapper Creek, Alaska in June. He would like anyone with pictures from AlasKarma to email them to him.

Inner Circle Organizer Steps Down

Order of the N.E.W. Headman Takes Karmic Break

Long time Lister and Inner Circle co-founder, Big Cheddar, has decided the time is right to step down as Center representative of the Order of the N.E.W. Inner Circle in Wasilla, Alaska. We're sure this isn't the last we've heard from this amazingly Karmic individual, and are excited to see how this up and coming Inner Circle deals with the challenge inherent in changes of leadership. Please join us in wishing Big Cheddar much Karma as he steps back from the spotlight for a while. No matter what happens in the future, he will go down in Random Reality history as a true friend of Morton's List, the Twilight Lords, and all those who got to know him.
